Giant avocados, otherwise known as Avozillas, are coming to a Tesco near you
TESCO HAS ANNOUNCED that it will stock giant avocados, otherwise terrifyingly known as Avozillas, in a select number of Irish stores starting this Friday.
The mammoth avocados will retail for €3.69 and will be available in a select number of stores across Dublin, Galway, Wicklow and Kildare.
Avozillas are six times the size of regular avocados and, despite what their freakish size may suggest, they are not genetically modified. Instead, they are grown in a forest outside of Modjadjiskloof, Limpopo, South Africa and just four trees produce them.

Why so big? They’re simply a cross between two varieties of avocado, the West Indian and the Guatemalan, so just chalk it down to nature.
Those wanting to purchase an Avozillas are advised to pop in this weekend as Tesco warns that stock is strictly limited.
Then, it’s time for a GUACAMOLE PARTY.
